At Throne, we’re always seeking opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of creators and their communities. This summer, we joined forces with Gamers Outreach for the VTuber Summer Slam 2024. We couldn't be prouder of the incredible success that followed!
Over the course of this five-day event, Throne had the incredible opportunity to assemble a stream team of talented creators from our platform, all rallying together for a cause that is close to our hearts, providing therapeutic play to children in hospitals through the power of gaming. Our amazing lineup—Mizuki, BraveOkami, baevtuber, ohkerfuffle, neblooya, mystic_willow, amaiami, ama_whiterose, nyatokki, valkyrievtuber, and ninjagato465—led the charge. Through their streams and the unwavering support of their fans, we raised funds to equip hospitals with GO Karts.
GO Karts (Gamers Outreach Karts) are portable video game stations designed to provide children in hospitals with access to fun and engaging games. Each kart comes equipped with a gaming console, monitor, and controllers, offering young patients the chance to experience the therapeutic benefits of play while undergoing treatment. These karts allow children who are bedridden or have limited mobility to immerse themselves in video games, reducing stress, fostering positive interactions, and helping them stay connected with friends and family during a challenging time. For these kids, a GO Kart is more than just a gaming station—it’s a lifeline to joy and comfort.
Day 1 Kicks Off Strong
Our Throne team jumped right into the event, fully embracing Gamers Outreach’s mission to bring joy to young patients through gaming. On Day 1, our incredible VTuber team raised $4,367, setting the tone for an exciting week ahead. The enthusiasm from our community was contagious, and their support strengthened our resolve to make a meaningful impact together.
Building Momentum: Day 2 and 3
As Day 2 rolled in, seven more team members went live, continuing the wave of generosity and excitement. By Day 3, the Throne Wishlist VTuber team had surpassed our original goal of $5,000, raising enough to fully fund our first GO Kart! The thrill of being able to provide this essential support for hospitalized children motivated us to push further—our team and the broader VTuber community were unstoppable.
Crushing Goals: Day 4 Celebrations
By the time Day 4 arrived, our team had raised $7,974.08, and the event overall had already surpassed an incredible $500,000! The outpouring of support was beyond anything we could have imagined, and it was clear that the VTuber community was making a monumental impact. Six more of our team members streamed that day, pouring their hearts into the cause.
Final Push: Reaching New Heights on Day 5
As the final day of the VTuber Summer Slam began, we knew we had to finish strong. Eight Throne VTubers went live, bringing our total raised to an astounding $10,339.09. The entire event had now surpassed $600,000 in donations for Gamers Outreach! As a team, we kept our eyes on the ultimate goal—making an impact on the lives of children who need these GO Karts for moments of joy, distraction, and therapeutic play.
Celebrating Success: Our Contribution to Over $700,000 Raised!
We couldn’t be prouder to share that our amazing Throne VTuber team raised $11,500, enough to fund three GO Karts for children’s hospitals! The entire VTuber Summer Slam 2024 event collectively raised over $700,000, breaking last year’s record and making this the largest event in Gamers Outreach’s history.
These funds will provide children across hospitals with 200 new GO Karts, enabling an estimated 580,000 play experiences annually. These experiences will bring comfort, joy, and a sense of normalcy to children undergoing treatment in hospitals, thanks to the incredible support of the VTuber community, their fans, and the power of gaming.
